I hope its ok to post this here.
On November 13th i went out to find my two young cockerels fighting. And there was blood involved so i seperated the bigger one in a dog cage inside the run. Since the door doesnt stay shut I put a board in the front and on all sides so he couldnt get out to fight with the other. I left for about 2 hours and then came back to let him out. All the boards were still up. And i went to do something else. Later that night my parents went out and they couldnt find my little Russian Orloff. I went out there to the boards down and after searching everywhere i picked the board up and she was lying under it, dead... Being one of my favorite chickens my heart sunk. Knowing this i will now keep the cage elsewhere and the boards elsewhere.
I just thought id make others aware so they dont have to experience this.
