Have you had a real problem with your naked necks getting sunburned? Do you have to take precautions?
How pleased have you been with their hardiness in the summertime?
TIA

I have never noticed anything like a sunburn on naked necks. Some people think the reddness is sunburn(in fact it's there on the Henderson chart, emailed them and told him but it's still up there..) but in fact it's the same kind of reaction to the sun as on all chicken's faces and combs.

I'm in southern Calif.. in an area where every summer it's 110-120 degrees F.. they do extremely well.. No extra anything besides being sure to give shade and cool spots like for anything else.

No special precautions for winter either.

Hi! I've never seen any sunburn on my Naked Necks here in sunny SC.
Are you looking into getting NN's? You won't be sorry!

) and naked necks are pretty firmly on my list. They've been growing on me for awhile.
