I cannot tell if these babies, (nicknamed The Three Fates), are male or female. They are about....5 months old? Please help me out.

Do I need some ladies? Do I have a mix? What's going on here 🤣

Sorry, guineas cannot be sexed from photos.

You can take one at a time out of sight from the rest of them and listen for the "buckwheat" call. If you hear the two syllable call, you have a hen.

If you don't hear it, wait a month and try again.

IF you have any hens, they should be calling for mates soon if they aren't doing so already.

Can't tell by wattles either. I went in circles trying to sort my coop. The sound is the only way to be 100%. I put the suspect in a cage and walked away for a few mins.

Who is the beauty in the bottom right of your photo? She has a nice feather pattern.

Those. Are. Beautiful! What wonderful birds!

Unfortunately I don't think there's any way to sex them except behaviors. The roosters fight and try to mount, well, everything. Because I don't think they can tell either.

And the buckwheat call.

Pigeons look alike to the novice, but those who have bred them can usually sex pigeons by photos. For some of the breeds anyway.

Not guineas. I've never seen any other bird with so little sexual dimorphism.
