I just came across this 18th century Japanese painting on the website of the Freer Sackler Gallery (Smithsonian Institution), and thought you green pea people might be interested!

I am always amazed at how Japanese Peafowl paintings convey the train feathers.

Sometimes a painting can be a witness to history!
Here, peacock and glycine from 340 years ago at the beginning of the Showa era.
This proves that the green peacock pied existed!



I found a Chinese video where we see wild green peacocks with large white spots.
