Forcing broodiness in hen or Bator?

I'm going to a poultry show tomorrow. Gas prices just went up, but I'm driving the 3 hours there anyway! I don't really need to buy any more chickens, but I want to look at all the breeds. My banties are really mostly barnies, but I do know my EE is an EE cause her eggs are green. My new chicks are now all mixed up, but I don't care.

WHole corn...whole corn processing gives off heat, pushing the hen into broodiness quicker by mimicking the "fever" they get when they go broody. Length of day/light availability helps, false eggs/golfballs in the nest box....some ways to speed up the process....

All my chickens get a bit of whole corn every day. I know, I know, I'm not supposed to, but tell this to my old-fashioned boyfriend who thinks corn feeds all. He also managed to scoop up NINE buckets of corn after a neighbor's field was harvested. He doesn't understand when I tell him they're not supposed to eat ten tons of corn.
