Forgive me, but I love my chickens more than my cats

Why?

I spent all day, literally ALL DAY, Thursday cleaning my house to get ready for guests from Germany. I scrubbed, wiped, swept, mopped, folded, put away, vacuumed, recovered, and cleaned all day.

Today DBF and I spent the day with our friends, taking them around town and showing them the sights. When we got home:
1. The chickens had laid eggs and put themselves away. They greeted us and were glad to see us.

2. One of the cats had left a hairball on the couch (newly cleaned slip cover in place for less than 12 hours), and were whining that the quantity of food in their bowl was insufficient, despite being 1/2 full.

That is hilarious! I am not a cat person, but I love my cat. He lives in the barn, keeps mice out of the house and shows up twice a day to thank me for his food. He doesn't even want to be pet or cuddled. He's the world's perfect cat!

that is too funny!! I had quickly become more to liking my chickens than my cats. I don't know, maybe for the same reason you stated?
