Forum Tonight! 4/12 in the City of Plattsburgh NY

At the City Hall in Plattsburgh, NY they are having a open forum tonight 4/12 at 7pm to discuss allowing chickens to be kept in the City! Now I don't live in the city but the town surrounding it, but I'm thinking of going anyways. There are probably going to be a TON of people there in opposition so we need to get as many supporters as possible to show up, so if you live anywhere around Plattsburgh please come and show your support tonight!

How did it go? I'm originally from the Plattsburgh area.

It went well; it was just a meeting to see if there was enough interest to push forward. The people organizing it have decided to push forward and try and get the issue in front of the City council. The meeting was very cordial and those that were concerned had their questions answered. I was really impressed because I live in the Town and all the meetings I have been to for our little farm have not been nearly this pleasant.

There is a lot of misinformation about chickens and it is going to be an uphill battle but after the meeting I have a good feeling about this. The "chicken campaign" seems to have a good organizer with a lot of connections so I think it has a good chance of happening.
