FOUND 9 eggs in lawn mower shed on my bag of pine shavings..? Safe to eat?

Whining nonstop about no eggs and then found a stash....should I just recycle and start collecting ....? Also, I closed shed tightly and put fresh shavings in coop in nesting box....will that inspire her? I was so excited...but cautious about eating....!!!!

Put an egg in a bowl of water. If it sinks and lies flat it is good to eat. If it floats it is bad. If it begins to tip up it is older...(like the ones used for hard boiled eggs. If it tips way up--you probably wouldn't consider it a fresh egg.....


Put some fake eggs in the nest box where you want them to lay. (or golfballs)
