Found Baby Duck, Mom didnt make it

Sisters coworker found 10 of these baby ducks? Any idea on breed or age? Mom was found dead from being caught in a fence. Located in Nebraska

What did the mother look like? If it's a wild duck, like a Mallard or Wood duck, you need to call your local wildlife rescue and surrender them because it is illegal to possess them unless you have a permit or are a licensed wildlife rehabber.

It looks like a Mallard, a Wood duck, or a Muscovy.

Probably Mallards. Looks to be less than a week old though its hard to tell

I gave all the info to my sister. It was her coworkers backyard in a town 45 minutes from me so im not sure. They contacted me since I have geese.

I dont have the ducklings. There are located in another town. It was my sisters coworker who found them in her backyard. I passed on the information about contacting our states wildlife rescuer as its located 3 hours away and our towns are not advised to travel due to Covid
