Found chicken

Hi all, I found this chicken in a parking garage about 4 weeks ago. We brought it home and have fattened it up a bit and it no longer seems as sickly as it was.

Gender and breed and age jdeas?

It lays down in the nest box often or in shallow holes, I was thinking hen but I may be wrong... No eggs...

Does it have black in its tail feathers? Can’t tell from the picture. It appears to be a Rhode Island Red. Need a better picture of side view. Can’t see it’s head good but appears to be a hen/pullet.

Definitely a cockerel. Looks like a New Hampshire or RIR.

Didn’t see the other pictures at first but now I’m thinking rooster.

"she" did crow once yesterday and 3 times today...but I thought "she" was just yelling at some egrets that were in the yard :/

Looks like a rooster to me.

Looks like a RIR, New Hampshire Red, or maybe some sort of sex link.

Crowing is a tell tale sign of a rooster. Can you keep him?
