I was looking for instructions for how to build an oil-lamp incubator and found this great booklet that gives really good directions. It's fascinating. I never really understood how they worked. Seems like it would take a while to get the temp regulated, but after that I can see it working really well.
I think I need to build one. I'm so paranoid about the power going out and leaving my poor little eggs SOL! Would also be good for anyone that's off the grid. This is probably more reliable than a broody hen, and you have the added convenience of setting eggs whenever YOU want!
