Found my missing hen...

I am not sure where she's been hiding for 2 days, but she showed up just a few minutes ago. I wish I could have seen where she came from...if she had been out in the soybean fields, under an old building, or up in a tree. When she didn't come home last night, I was sure she was dead, so I am definitely glad she's OK.

She's probably got a nest with a secret "stash" somewhere.

I have a hen that went missing as well, not sure how long she was missing for as I hadn't done a count in a few days, but when I did notice her missing I thought she was dead too! Then she showed up two days later, it wasn't just my imagination, I counted 4 buff orpingtons and hubby did too! And then just as quickly as she re-appeared, she disappeared again! We haven't seen her for a good week, maybe longer? She only has a half acre to hide on and there aren't many hiding places. Hope your girl doesn't go into hiding again!

I'm guessing she's got a nest somewhere because she's not in the coop tonite...tomorrow I will have to send my kids on a egg hunt...
