Found this rubbery thing in a boiled egg

Can someone please tell me what that might be? I had one bite from the egg and that was in the second one? It's rubbery. The egg looked and tasted fine. Should I be worried?

Wear gloves and cut the thing open. If it has layers inside it’s most like lash material, which is inflammatory material that the hen expels. It could have gotten mixed up in the egg making process. Not good to eat. Also monitor the hen that produced it as she is probably at risk of reproductive disease.
