Hi All, I am new to the forum and raising chickens. I got my first four this year back in April. They live in my shed with roosting poles and laying beds, their area is partitioned off with 1" hexagonal wire fencing and framed in with a $20 screen doors from Lowe's for access. My two kids love holding, petting, feeding and even swinging them in a baby swing. The chickens actually fall asleep!

I received another beautiful young chick that was purchased in April by a mother for her daughter (spring chicks), then it started to grow and they realized they couldn't care for her. I was mentioned to them and they quickly delivered the chicks to live with my four others. I have been trying to identify this little bird, she looks just like a dorking hen in the pictures I have seen online except she only has four toes, and her shanks are dark gray.

Also, when she was a little one, at the time I received her, she was named Ducky because she looked like she had Egyptian eye make up on. She did resemble a duck. Thanks for the warm welcome!

I'm not sure what she is, but not a Dorking. Here 2 pics of my former 2.

Thanks for those pics, I still think she resembles a dorking (in color and pattern) Perhaps she has some game hen in her, she is definitely NOT a squatty bird.
