Eleven days ago, my flock was attacked by a fox and she (I'm sure it was a momma fox) grabbed one of my chickens, but did not kill her or take her away. It looks like Lunch (our chicken) was bitten several times as we found four separate feather dumps in our yard. Poor thing was in bad shape, but we separated her from the flock and put her in a cat condo on our porch. We sprayed her wounds with BluKote and kept an eye on her for a couple days. However, we realized that she had an injured leg as she would not put any weight on it at all. Several days ago, I was manipulating her leg and, pop, I fixed a dislocation of her hip joint. All of a sudden, she was able to put her foot down, but still would not put weight on her leg. I figured, it was probably still pretty sore and she just needed to rest for a few days. We created a sling for her and left her for three days.
Today, she still will not put any weight on that leg (and I've checked several times to see if there's a break, and there is not) and I believe she also has a dislocated knee on the same leg, as it does not feel like the knee on her other leg.

My question is, is there anyone out there who can give me detailed information on dislocated knees? It could also be possible that she has a broken knee, but it just doesn't feel "crunchy" or wiggly the way I would think that it would be if broken.

Any other ideas are welcome. Right now, she will not roost, but will only lay on her side, unless we put her back in the sling, which she's getting a bit peeved about now.

Thanks!! Jenn
