I think we had a fox attack yesterday. My CM Chocolate is missing and I found my Orp, Tangy Po (8 mos old), just sitting in the driveway. I checked her over and found some shallow puncture marks on her back and leg. I cleaned them and applied blue kote, gave her a few drops of PolyViSol, then put her in the roost box. She wasn't moving much, although she drank a little water and ate a little food. I figured it was shock and left her to sit quietly. I checked her this morning and she's still not moving much, but she ate some and drank. She's standing a little and moved from one side of the box (2x4) over to the nest box. My question is, how long might she be "shocky"? Could she have some bruising that I can't see that is causing her to move less (I couldn't find any obvious injuries other than the puncture marks on inspection)? What should I look for? Is there anything more I should do, or is this something that just takes a little time for her to get over?
Thanks for any info or advice.

It could take a few days. Sit w/ her for some time each day. I notice w/ my birds if something has upset them they calm down when I go out. A little TLC goes a long way. I notice birds have their favorite companion in the flock and she may have lost hers. I'm sorry for your loss.

Thank you. Yes, Chocolate and TangyPo were best friends. She's walking a little stiffly, but did walk over to the nest box again. I'm not sure if it's because she feels safe in there or because she's ready to lay an egg. I'll keep an eye on her and report any progress. Thanks.
