Had foxes kill 12 of my chickens about a month ago. My coop is safe with high fences and fences have wire underground. However this fox had decided to dig under the gate of the fence.

Any tips or anyone else had the same issue

I gave you my suggestion in your New Member Introduction.
Good luck.

Gates are high traffic areas, and sometimes the simple act of walking through them all the time kills vegetation from all the foot traffic and can also create a depression that invites diggers looking for a way in to start their excavation right there. Some are able to simply crawl under if it's wide enough.

Best plan to shore up area beneath a gate is to excavate the area beneath the gate out a bit and then back fill the larger depression you make with cement. A bag or so of quickcrete should do it. Bring it right up to the bottom of the gate. No more than an inch or so of room left.....and coast to coast (from one gate post to the other). Cement stops all diggers cold.

LGD s, another option that may work is to string red christmas lights around that area add the flashing bulb and put on a timer if you feel he is coming in at night, predators see red as a bigger predators eye shine and will shy away from that area. But a good dog is about the only sure way to keep predators away

Just yesterday about 11am I hear rucus on a porch & several of my chickens forcing kitchen window glass, like trying to get into the kitchen....Unusual behavior....I went outside & see mighty Big Red Fox a front of my stairs. I scream at him, wave hands & he is just looking at me! What kind of foxes we got nowdays??? They not scared of people any more? Finally he went into the woods....Then I found 1 large/heavy Red chicken dead on a driveway, feathers from 2 silkies & 1 Large Partridge chicken injured barely alive. All in such a short time?!
Injured one I brought inside my house & I have faith that will live. The killed one was still fresh so I cook chicken soup.
Now I go near wood-line every day & Fire some Rackets/fire works.
May work or may not....I will let you know.
