Hi all, my name is Ed. I live in SW Ohio. I've been lurking on the board for years but just decided today to sign up and join in some of the fun.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Got my first chicks in May 2004, still have 3 out of the 7 I started with.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 7

(3) What breeds do you have? Local farm store mixed.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? Someone on Ezboard told me about it years ago.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Bike riding, dogs, gardening, computers.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I live on a 45 acre corn and soybean farm with my girlfriend, we have been together off and on since 1975. I am semi retired, I only work 14 to 16 hours a day now on the farm. lol
I have 3 dogs, 6 cats, and 7 pet chickens.

. I grew up in Indiana so I know the whole corn soybean mix. Good to know that even after years you came in and said hello. Am sure more will come in to say welcome.

Hey thanks for the nice welcomes. Yeah, finally after all this time I came in and said hi...lol..Up til just recently we couldn't get any kind of decent internet service in my boonies. I tried satellite, NO good at all. Now we have Verizon DSL, still not much good, but the best we can get. No cable out here either..So I've been kinda restricted to the smaller sites. I have been a member of Backyard chickens on Yuku for a long time..Any relation?

Another Buckeye. Wow, great..I'm in SW Ohio near Indiana. Don't really like it much tho..Ohio has weak, if any animal protection laws, and I'm a great animal lover. I like to see them protected better than they are in Ohio. And a lot of the small towns won't allow chickens "Troy" comes to mind.
