Fractured leg? 4 week old chick. Help please

That's good to know! My only concern at this point is her foot on the affected leg seems dead. She doesn't appear to have any control of it at all and it just hangs there. Do you think this is a sign of a different problem or is it all just still healing? There's still some swelling and bruising

I can see above the cast. We're giving her an anti inflammatory once a day that the vet gave us.

I wouldn't worry about the foot as long as the color looks good. The swelling and the bruising is to be expected, I think. Did the vet give you Meloxicam/Metacam for the swelling?

I can't recall the name of it but yes they gave us a medication for pain and inflammation to give her once a day for 6 days.

Sure thing. Would you mind telling me about your experiences with your chickens healing process? About how long did it take and how did you keep them off it? Were they adults? I've heard the little ones heal pretty fast. She's a little over a month old. So just wondering what to expect.

The chicks did heal faster, even the two with open fractures recovered. Timeline? I honestly don't remember. Maybe two weeks?
