We have more than our fair share of coons running around here  Yesterday evening I went out to check on the chickens after lock up.
I don't have a pic to prove it,but there was a solid colored orangey/red coon out eating some leftover duck food.It was picking the bowl up & it was a coon!!! It had no mask or stripes on it's tail.
That was a trip

It ran off in the woods & hopefully I can get a pic of it one day
My BIL lives next door to us & he's seen it,so I know I'm not seeing things.

I guess that happens in nature, something you don't see everyday.

* I have a older black cat who's fur keeps turning deep orange in some places. Supposedly it's a thyroid problem that happens in some dark animals as they age. He has to have kelp in his food to stay black. Mebbe the racoon has a similiar condition.
