Yesterday evening I went out to collect eggs from the chicken coop, pretty much the same as any other afternoon. When I got to the nest I found the most gigantic egg I've ever seen....well, the most gigantic chicken egg I've ever seen. I just can't get over how huge it is!
It cracks me up looking at it compared to the other eggs.
So I figured I'd share with my fellow chicken addicts.
Here's the giant egg trying to fit into the egg crate with the other eggs. The brown egg to the right of the giant freak egg is the egg my sweet Chicken Little laid yesterday...she's a Barred Rock, started laying in January of this year.
And just for giggles, here's my attempt at closing the egg crate with freak egg in the crate.
