They were literally dropped on our school property by a neighbor from the apartment complex next door who then ran away. They've been living in our school's old chicken coop for the past several weeks, separated from our own hens. They looks to be about a year old. Not sure of the breed but I included some photos. Our school is in the Sacramento, CA area. They will need to be picked up. Thank you!





 
As far as breed... My safe bet is that those are partridge colored silkie mixes. Silkie crossed with a standard feathered chicken.
If they are slightly larger than bantam, then a large fowl chicken.

I wish I wasn't on the opposite coast. I would take them. They are adorable, and likely will make someone some very sweet chooks.
