Free Dog

My DH found a great dog that someone had dropped off down the road from us. We had been seeing him for over a week now at an empty house down the road from us. DH finally brought him home to feed him. Why is it us country folk always seem to have to take on others pet responsibilities. He is free to a good home. He is really sweet and seems to be a chocolate lab. We would keep him but we are at our dog limit with 9. Pictures to follow...

We have 3 blue and 1 red heeler. We also have 2 heeler crosses.

Are heelers similar to red tick or blue tick coonhounds?

No. Heelers are herding dogs, and look quite different. Coonhounds have long droopy ears, short smoother coats, long tails and are larger. The personality is very different too.

Did you put him on Craigslist in your area. I would screen the new owners carefully, there are sickos in this world. Thanks for feeding him.

I have a friend coming to look at him today. He is sooo sweet. We let him in the house yesterday to see how he would behave. He found a blanket and curled up and stayed there all night. There is not a mean bone in this boys body. I really wish we could keep him.
