Alright... here is the deal. I don't know where to post this but I have 4 beautiful guineas that have found their way to my property. I cant catch them, I don't whose they are and animal control has set a live trap and hope we can get them. They are in danger of the busy road that they keep crossing to get to the vacant property across the street. I need anyone interested to feel free to come get them. Please message me or send me an email [email protected] They are free if you can catch them and if they are in the live trap i will happily give them to a good home. If you are the one that have lost them please let me know thanks!

I am in Virginia so if you know of any connection that might want them. Thanks!

FYI, you will never catch them with a live trap. Are you the same person that has the fenced chicken yard that they hang outside of? You might have more luck getting them in if you put some feed in the fenced yard, have a couple of people get behind them (not more than ten feet) and slowly but cautiously step forward. It takes time, it takes patience but the best way to move a reluctant Guinea is to herd it. If your yard doesn't have a top the problem will be moving them in to the coop to be caught. If it has a top you've got an excellent chance of catching them.

The whole process may take a couple of days to accomplish. Guineas have survived for so long on their own due to their wild genetics that has them suspicious of everything they don't recognize and to react instantly to the unfamiliar.

Good luck. I know how frustrating it can be.
