I have 5 adult guineas that I am looking to re-home. 1 is 18 months old, the others are 10 months old. I have been trying to free range them in the yard, but I keep losing them to daytime predators. I started with 10, and am down to 5. I lost one yesterday while I was mowing the yard 75 feet away! Nothing left but a pile of feathers and a trail going into the woods. I realize free ranging is just not working out. I have chickens and ducks in a fenced in area, and the guineas just won't leave them alone, so I can't keep them all together. If you are interested in getting into guineas, or adding to your flock, they are free for the taking. They do a great job on controlling the tick population! I live in Barkhamsted, and they can be picked up anytime, just contact me through BYC.
