Have 13 chicks and 2 guineas. Put them in a brooder in the garage. Now they are almost two months old. We put them outside in an open coop (Chicken wire) with a run. Problem is the guineas now fly up to sit on the fence. Do I open the run or Close in the top? Or let guineas fly and hope the know to come home?

Welcome to BYC

Birds that are allowed to free range are at a high risk of predation. Most people who allow their birds to free range eventually see their flocks diminish - and sometimes loose a substantial number of birds at one shot. Guineas allowed to roam will sometimes move out of the coop completely, and can be hard to get back once they decide to leave.
