Free Range danger

For those of you that free range... along with predation , etc. have you considered the dangers of your birds being infected with Bird Flu from contact with wild birds and /or their deposits ?

All chickens (unless kept indoors in a bio secure facility) are susceptible to many diseases. Singling out free range birds is not a complete synopsis.

In many cases free ranging may provide added security (to an extent) as the concentration of wild birds is not as great as a meeting place on or need a run where feed/water is available.
