Free Range Gardening

We are wanting to do free range gardening and I was wondering if anyone else does this? If so, are there any websites or books to help with design? I'm a very visual type person and would like to see some examples. I've only been able to find one or two photos online and they are very limited. I would like help with a full plan, not just a single shot photo. I've been unsuccessful in my internet search to find multiple photos of the same garden or plan.

I'm not sure what you mean by, "free range gardening"... You mean free ranging your chickens in your garden?

Yes, free ranging in the garden. It's a very free style garden that to me is very beautiful. The problem is...I'm VERY OCD and the design concept to me is very difficult because I naturally put everything in very straight lines and in a particular order..."random" things are very difficult for me to design. If you google free range chicken garden you can see small examples of what I am talking about. I am just looking for ideas for the design.

I've never been able to have chickens and landscaping or a veggie garden co-exist, nor has anyone I've known. I did google this book but it seems to me she's talking about landscaping, in my mind a garden is veggies. That may be semantics, but I can see a big difference. I don't think you'll ever have a chicken roaming the same area as a producing tomato plant and get any tomatoes, except whatever is too high for the bird to reach. Even then, they eat the plant itself. If you truly want to give it a try, buy the book and see what her story is.
