Free Range Hens Coming Home to the Coop?

So yer tellin' me I don't needo round them prior to sunset? Just leave the door open & they'll come home to roost?

That's how it usually goes.
If some start roosting elsewhere, just pen them up for a day or two to remind them where "home" is

Thanks guys - I know *you* will not be surprised that I have been worrying and obsessing about this. The girls are very good about putting themselves to bed in the coop when dusk hits. I'm relieved to know they'll continue to do so even when they are not kept in the run!!

I just love these hens - I'm so surprised at how much pleasure and happiness they bring to our farm.

Having a cuddle with my lap Ethel (all BO's are named Ethel)
