About the question above, only one hen is laying eggs out of 13. Also she's laying them in the bedding instead of their nesting boxes. Is that normal.
 
Before long you'll have more eggs than you know what to do with . Try putting a fake egg or a golf ball in the nest box till she gets the idea. Once the others start laying things should fall into place.
 
When we found the first egg we put fake eggs in the nesting boxes but the crazy hen keeps laying on the ground:)
 
Now that my chickens are free ranging, they have discovered the cherry trees, there eating them up. Is it ok for them to eat them...
