Let the guineas out today into the barn from their pen. Figure I will feed and water and keep them in it for a week and then let them out to free range. Wish me luck!!!

Ok so the kids let them out of the barn today, they walked out of the barn and into the cornfield behind it and disappearred. Now what do I do?

Nothing.. wait til they come back.. put some feed out and play the waiting game. They prolly just investigating the area. They know where home is.It might take em a day to get back.

It is really hard to let guineas out for the first time but mine would hardly leave the yard. About dark they were all going back into their run without any problem. We have feed and water in their house, so I guess they knew where dinner was. Now when I holler Guinea, Guinea, they come running to me.

update, I heard them in the cornfield across the street. Tried to coax them with cracked corn but they would not follow me. at least they are around.

Update: The two adults showed up in the barn last night. Then this morning I saw one of the keets cross the road. Went over with a fishing net and caught it. No sign of the other three keets yet though. Hope they return cause one was definatley a girl.
