Free woodchipps everywhere in the Ice storm states.

We have grown new potatoes in tires a bunch of years. When you add a tire make sure you fill it in good but do not pack the dirt to much. I have gone 6 high with huge tractor tires.

As far as building up soil I like to get a bail of scrap paper and till it into the soil. As far as getting a bail try news paper plants. 3 years ago was the last time I got some and it was $20 a ton.

How are you, I live in KY too, and today I was cutting trees for some customers, it is really very easy to ask any tree service guy you see him working around(chipping trees) just tell him if you need to get red of the chipps you can dump them on my property, and 99% of the time he will say yes thank you very much, because we have to pay money to get red of the chipps. plus feul cost is to high when you operate a dump truck.

I asked a Service for a load last fall and that same day they filled my driveway. I had to rent a bobcat to move all 10 sqare yards of it. Most of them will not dump it at your place unless they are working near by. Some I have talked to said they would be happy to blow it into the back of your pickup if you came out to the job and only wanted a small load.
