I butchered and barbecued a Freedom Ranger last weekend (7 weeks, 5 lbs. live weight). The flavor and texture were great, as I expected. For those of you who have waited until 10-12 weeks for processing - are the birds still tender enough for broiling/grilling then?

Thanks

i butchered some at 14 weeks that were amazing. taste and texture blows Cornish X out of the water IMO (as far as fast growing "breeds" are concerned).

I had one that got to 18 weeks before butchering last year, it was very good.
