Freeze tag ?

I was watching my Ladies in the yard this afternoon and a pair of them just stopped. They had been scratching around together and just stopped, heads low, close together, butts in the air. They did not move a muscle for over 60 seconds. One moved and they both went right back to scratching around again.

It was very strange, any ideas on what they were doing ?

They were listening for worms moving in the dirt.

They're eye-balling eachother.

My girls do it too sometimes. It's like they're equals in the flock so neither one can make a move first. That just shows you how long a chickens memory span is.

stuck on stupid. like when its raining and they are frozen and just stand there in front of door to coop.
