don't know where to bring this up but.... I processed(skinned) my own meaties 2 wks ago, cooked one immediately(yum) and froze the rest(10) in zip lock bags, wrapped in newspapers, then wrapped in a couple of plastic grocery bags. I dried them off best as I could after 2 days rest in fridge and all I can imagin is they still had too much moisture on them because I thawed one today and majorlly frosty. it doesn't really bother me but in future will be giving/selling some. they can NOT look like mine did today. Is there an inexpensive way to properly freeze them??

I just ordered shrink wrap bags for chickens from Cornerstone Farm Ventures I got the website from someone on here. I think the bags were like 25-50 each They have all sizes You put the bird in the bag and submerge the bag in hot water and it shrinks to fit. They claim it lasts 1 year in the freezer. We are processing tomorrow so I will try them then. Micki

sounds do-able and easy. please let me know ,at some point, if it works! good luck- katy
