A friend got a pair of turkeys last year and she started laying eggs. There are 8 eggs so far but she is not sitting on them yet. We are supposed to have freezing temperatures for 2 nights. The eggs are in the coop but the turkeys sleep out on top the garage.

Would it be safe to put a heater in there for the couple of days or will the eggs be okay in freezing temperatures?

He has a small heater he uses in the chicken coop so he's set to go if that's the option. I can't imagine how they wouldn't freeze but then I know nothing about turkeys or turkey eggs!!!

Thanks for any suggestions!!

If you do keep the area `warm' do not exceed the low temps you have been having before cold snap (40-50° F is fine). Too high a temp is nearly as bad as too low a temp. prior to the hen initiating incubation.
