My girls just started laying, and I'm getting eggs everyday now. Even in our freezing temperatures! My first egg was on Christmas Eve, and the wind chill was -15 out side the coop!
I go to the coop several times a day, and I'm getting to know about what time each hen lays. However, how long does it take before an egg freezes? Does it then become unsafe? How can you tell? (Other than the obvious, that it's not warm..
)
Our temps here are highs in the teens and lows in the single digits. But this week, temp are going below zero.
Any info as always is appreciated. Thanks!
