Freezing weeds for chickens

I came across this video today and thought it was a pretty good idea. Any one else do this?

Basically freezing weeds for the chickens to eat in the winter months to save on feed cost and add some variety to there diet other then just feed. .

I was thinking of doing that. Im also going grass in planters for them.
