French Maran Scares Away Other Hens

Hi! I have a beautiful strong female French Black Copper Maran and I saw her up in the nest box one day. She wouldn't sit or anything, just squawked and stood there. A little while later, my Americauna (same age) went up to lay. The Maran bit her tail and sent her back down every time the Americauna tried to come up again. But the Maran looked like she had no intention of laying! Please help.

No. Turns out she just wanted privacy and she laid 30 minutes later. She is pretty aggressive though.

She being territorial.
