French Wheaten Marans Pullet or Roo

Hi, these are 4 week old chicks. I thought the dark feathers made them a roo. The person who has them said they are pullets.

I am hoping someone here can tell.

Hi Welcome from New Orleans, I keep Marans, French Black Copper and French Blue Copper. I hoped to add Lavender Marans this year. The first thing I noticed was the lack of feathered feet. Are they bred to British standards?
I also don't see combs and wattles. All of mine, pullets and cockerels had both combs and wattles from the time they hatched.
If you don't mind, may i ask where you got these chicks? They don't look like Marans to me.

I have not bought them yet. Someone has them listed. I was going to buy them, but I started wondering why someone would hatch out chicks, and wait 4 weeks to sell ten of them. I definitely do not want ten roosters.

I have blue cuckoo marans. My rooster has feathered feet, but not my hens.

Check Cypress Duck Farm, Dan Barger is who I use for my French Marans.
I believe he has Black, Blue and Lavender chicks and hatching eggs. And is currently working on his own line of Colombian as well.
He has been my go to for Marans for close to a decade and I have been very pleased.
He ships chicks and hatching eggs.
