Sorry did not know where to post this question

Last year I got some food and candy that was made at home and the maker put a sticker on all the food with a disclaimer. The Disclaimer made a few statements and one said the food was not made in a FDA Approved kitchen.

I sale my extra eggs to people that get my number from friends of friends. One day I was asked about how I clean the eggs. I soon learned the most of my egg buyers know little about farm fresh eggs and holding us all to the same level of FDA Approved Eggs farmers.

I wanted to make a small Disclaimer strip of paper that makes a few points about our eggs and points I things everyone MUST know About local farm fresh eggs.. Such as not approved by FDA.

Does anyone have and use such a disclaimer/statement ?
Any points buyers should know about fresh eggs.

You may want to check on the laws of your state regarding egg sales and the associated labeling requirements. When I have sold eggs, I just included what is required by law, but I generally speak directly with the purchaser about any washing details or cooking/storage suggestions and answer any questions they might have. Beyond what is required by law, I would just put whatever you feel is most important for the purchaser to know.

Here in Ohio, there are also certain requirements for labeling "cottage foods" which identify them as "home produced". Wherever you purchased the food and candy you mentioned might have similar requirements which could be why they were specifically labeled as not FDA approved. What state are you in?
