Freshly hatched chick can't stand up!!! HELP!!

My mom decided to help hatch a chick that couldn't get out of its shell. I know, bad idea. We knew there was something wrong with it right away. It can't stand up. It tries so hard to kick itself upright but it can't. Also it's neck doesn't seem to support it's head upright. I'm pretty sure we're gonna have to put it down, but is there anything else I can do? It's fighting so hard and chirps loud! I want to give it a fighting chance. PLEASE HELP!!

I've heard feeding it sugar water can help. I don't have any vitamins to give it. I thought about building something to help prop it up using Legos. I tried using a toilet paper roll but it rolled out of it.

How long has it been hatched?
Sugar water is good, add a little raw egg yolk.

I think you nailed it yourself, assisted hatching is a lose lose in most cases.

I know this was a few months ago but my chick is doing something similar... I found her in the brooder with mom so I'm not sure what happened. Is there any update??
