Friendliest breeds?

The tamest friendliest chickens we ever had were turkens, the naked neck birds. They were hard to get used to looking at but so calm and easy to handle.

I definitely agree with @piminuse as every bird is different although handling while young helps a lot
Me too. I spend a lot of time with our chicks as babies. As I went through my pics to find ones for this post I realized I have an enormous collection of chicks sleeping on me all the way to full grown chickens sleeping on me. I also spend active time with them as chicks, I have some trained to jump onto my hand/arm, and in general I am just around a lot when they are babies. When I take them outside for the first few times I am sure to squat low to the ground so they can run under me if they get scared. I essentially become momma hen and later in life they definitely gravitate toward me most. That being said I have a Gold Laced Wyandotte who feels very strongly that I am out to murder her, regardless of how much I cuddled with her and petted her and treated her as a baby. Just her personality. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Cochin bantams are the friendliest in my experience. They love to be held and cuddled.
Easter Eggers are okay, but the friendliness depends on the individual bird. My EE pullet hates humans and will scream if you pick her up. But, my EE cockerel is a big baby, and his favorite thing is to be held and stroked under his chin.
Orpingtons can be friendly. I've heard of some really means though too.

Easter Eggers! And they come in all different colors. If I were to sit on the ground outside I’d have as many as six trying to pile into my lap. They... get jealous though.keep their heads away from each other lol. 5E4F76B7-38B6-4FF6-9818-B5EAC5BE95D5.png 691D482B-6958-437D-8D2C-E23511A4D386.jpeg 0EAC4E30-9F42-463A-A166-74AB78783B1C.jpeg 7F763840-E0A3-42F3-9906-CB3D131BC594.jpeg 784CCBB4-BFD3-4437-817A-ADBB500E4098.jpeg B0FB1445-CFA0-4218-8B00-AA8C56F84909.jpeg
