friendly chickens

My banty cochins are the friendliest of all my breeds. After that, I'd say the Orps & Rocks- but only if I have treats.

My kids' favorites are the Silkies by far, but if they can catch it, it gets held and cuddled, whether it likes it or not

We did get a trio of Seramas a few weeks ago and my daughter (8) LOVES them. I think they would be best for older children though, since they are so tiny.

My new Delaware babies seem very people oriented. The look up at me when I speak to them, and run up to my hand, some jump on it - so far, pretty darn friendly little sweeties!

I have had bantam barred rocks for a while now and they are ridiculously friendly. When I got in the barn now to mess with their food or water, they always jump down from the roost onto my shoulders. They really are such friendly and very calm birds. Completely loving

I would say Plymouth Rocks are a good friendly breed. We have six White Plymouth Rock hens and they are so sweet!

Also some people we know own a friendly Barred Rock roo.
