I've got several silkie pullets that are not yet ready to breed, and a rooster that doesn't understand that.

Will his frequent attempts to breed them hurt anything? In fact, I believe a couple he's trying to breed might actually be young males.
 
Romantic roosters can injure hens, or at least shred their feathers out. Do you have any older hens for him to fall in love with? It is stressful on the hens to be over-bred or chased a lot.

I was on here, ready to post about the same thing, in my case, my 16wk old rooster is pulling feathers out of my (same age) hens, I find at least two handfuls of feathers a day from one hen he seems to pick on :( we will be getting rid of him this week..
