Frizzle Broody But She Kicked Eggs Out

I have a Hen that has gone broody; I havent had a broody hen in sometime ... there were 13 eggs in her nest ... why did she push 4 of them out???

Probably because they were bad for some reason. Mamma hens can usually sense when something is wrong with an egg...unlike us.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. I had a hen go broody and she kicked a few eggs out. Unknowingly I kept putting them back under her, and she eventually got aggravated with me and abandoned the whole nest!!! She got tired of me jacking with her I guess.

Just toss those four she keeps pushing out, and she will probably keep sitting on the rest. YAY, I love babies in the spring time..
