I was planning on setting up a few pens with a frizzle cochin bantam rooster and two or three smooth females. I know that I don't want to breed frizzle to frizzle. What I don't know is what colors I can breed to what colors safely without having funky-colored offspring. Each pen is going to have a frizzled roo in either red, black or white. I have SOME understanding of genetics, so I'm going to put the groups that I think will be okay. PLEASE let me know if this isn't correct. Also, any other information you think would be helpful is welcome. I have raised rabbits, but I've never done chickens before. I'm hoping to eliminate some of the newbie mistakes by doing research up front. So these are the groups I think would be okay:

Red frizzle roo bred to:
Red hen
Buff hen
Golden laced hen

Black frizzle roo bred to:
Blue hen
Mottled hen
Splash hen
Black hen
Barred hen

White frizzle roo bred to:
Any color?

A couple more questions.... What is LF? A regular cochin and a smooth cochin are different, right? Because a smooth cochin carries the frizzle gene but isn't showing it? Can I start with a regular cochin x frizzle cochin breeding? Thanks in advance.
