frizzled gene info

can you start out with a normal feathered bird and somewhere down the line it comes out frizzled without mixing a frizzled bird into it?

I don't think so I think they have to have the gene although some carry the frizzled gene and don't show it. look around and you can find some frizzled japs

i heard that the frizzled barred rocks are common. ours are regular. so there is no way the chicks can come out frizzled?

Not without breeding hte gene in or hoping for the miraculous mutation to spontaneously occur
