Frizzled Serama?

One of my serama hens has like a clump of frilly feathers around the neck. I have tried wetting them down but no success. Is it a possibility that she has some frizzled genetics in her?

i tried but she just kept moving around and was too antsy. I try for some pictures tomorrow.

You betcha it's possible! There are frizzled serama, silkied serama, smooth serama...beautiful beautiful serama! I love seramas. Pic when you get a chance!

I haven't seen a bird with frizzling in patches yet. I had a Serama hen with curled neck feathers, and it smothed back down when I gave her a bath. You may have a grooming issue, or you have something new! Frizzles have been reported to show up spontaneously in Seramas, without curly parents. I don't know whether it's a result of poor record-keeping or crazy unpredictable genetics. I'd love a pic, too!
