from hobby to business

Does anyone have any idea when a little hobby farm goes into a small business farm, im getting an upwards of 70 dozen eggs a month and im growing. i live in new jersey, does anyone know what the rules and regulations for selling eggs are? Do i need permit or anything? any info would be helpful at this point. I'm not farm assested just yet, im in the process of getting all the paper work filled out. i will be also getting more animals to fulfill the requirement to be farm assested.

I live in NJ too, Hunterdon Co. I do not sell eggs, but in the back of my mind I remember restrictions as far as holding temps. that were instituted on local farmers' markets and farm stands. I think that it may be controlled by municipality and local board of health - not to say that there may not also be state restrictions. Give the NJ state thread a try ('Where am I! Where are you!' in the Social Forum) - post this question there and someone with REAL knowledge may be able to provide a proper answer.

It says you should register with the NJDA, but I don't see how to do that on their site:
